PAWS Clinic

Went here to get a Vaccine for my 7 year old cat. They were recommended for their efficacy and their ability to work with all dogs and all cats. We walked in, they have a very unique set up for their clinic- their systems were down and they expected us to pay cash- we get it, not an issue. We waited in an isle for 30-45 minutes then he was next to be seen. We were told by one of the vets that we would be able to go into the room with him but when he wasn’t able to get the vaccine because he is a very scared cat without us they said they couldn’t do it. I was told two different things by the same team. They were very unprofessional calling my cat a “spicy one” and documenting on his paper that we was “NOT happy” underlining happy. As a pet owner I was taken aback because what does that have to do with his vaccine record. We warned them multiple times that he hates the vet that he may not cooperate to at he may need myself or my husband and they were confident they could get it done- an hour of waiting then they rejected him after trying for three minuets to get him out of the carrier. To me that’s an unprepared vet- they can’t handle a cat who is scared and anxious-especially when cats are notorious for being afraid at doctors visits. I will say the vets were kind but some of them were unprofessional. Prices were good- but I wouldn’t trust this place period.

Best Place in VA Beach to receive reasonably priced vaccinations. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Love the care they give.

All the staff are very professional and friendly. Especially the door keeper Maureen. She is professional and very friendly. She does a good job directing traffic and making sure folks go down the proper aisle. She has her work cut out, when people don't have any of their records. She keeps things moving and does a great job. Also the prices are way cheaper then other vet clinics. Thanks PAWS for all you do!!

Every single staff member there is absolutely wonderful......except for Maureen. Unfortunately she is seemingly the face of the clinic as she is the first person you have to talk to check in. Be careful if you go this clinic and dont have a perfectly behaved dog, because she will talk about you and your dog to other clients, which is unprofessional at best. If you look at any negative comment on here, they are all in relation to the front person, which is Maureen. Even the staff there apologize for her rudeness and tell you that there have been multiple complaints about her. I have referred so many people to this clinic but never again. You can forgive if someone is having a bad day, but this is repeated behavior by Maureen on 3 separate occasions. Twice occurred when i brought in my puppy and one of the times she berated me for being 1 week late on a booster vaccine. She must be related to the owners because nothing seems to happen when complaints are made by multiple different people. Avoid this clinic. There are other cheap clinics in the area that do not employ rude and disrespectful staff. I will say, the manager, Kevin, is wonderful and helpful. But one person consistently making an experience bad negates anything positive this clinic has to offer.
