Fur babies are never cheap, but this place has never steered us wrong in all of the years we've been coming here. Our cat is 16 and our corgi is 13 this year and they've played a huge part in keeping them healthy. We're excited to have two 8 month old pups on wellness plans and look forward to a long healthy time together!

Service is always great, my dog has gotten used to seeing “Z” veterinary technician, she really has a way to control Cinnamon and I always feel relieved knowing she’s there. From the Dr’s to the staff it’s a very welcoming environment and it’s been the only place I trust my baby to be seen.

After 13 years I'm now switching vets because of my last visit. Dr Knopp argued with me for about 10 minutes because I didn't want to use the heartworm prevention that they sell. He was rude and unprofessional and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I must have said no a dozen times and he continued to argue and he basically stormed off and had his techs tell me that he won't write me a prescription. I understand why he wouldn't write a 6 month prescription for my puppy. I told him I was only asking for 6 months because I couldn't find anyone selling them in lesser quantity. Instead of helping me find something else he sent me off with nothing and he and his staff basically forced me to find another vet. I sat alone in my car and I had to do my own research and i found a similar prescription that is sold in single doses so i immediately called them back and asked for a prescription because my puppy needed the meds in the next few days. They said they are busy and they would call me back in the next 24 to 48 hours... I never heard back from them. I would not recommend this vet. If you won't buy what they are selling then they will not help you and will try and make you feel like you're a bad pet owner. I switched to acredale animal hospital right around the corner and they are so much better. I felt welcomed and it was nothing but positive vibes which was the complete opposite of how i felt at abbey animal hospital. I told acredale what meds i wanted and they said okay and didn't interrogate me on why i made my choice like abbey did. Also if you use chewy and need a prescription. Abbey animal hospital will not take calls from them. They force you to have to mail in your prescription. Just another headache. Acredale animal hospital allows chewy to contact them directly which makes getting your prescription so much faster and easier

I've decided to take my dog somewhere else. My older Yorkie rescue had a neurological problem acute after a fall that resolved with treatment but had chronic ataxia and neurological issues before and after the fall. The vet mentioned a possible brain tumor and offered to send him to a neurologist for an mri but did not offer any other options. I took him home and gave him cbd oil and he lived for 9 months. I would have liked to have been offered palliative care and medications to help relieve his symptoms even though I didn't want to put him through an mri and possible brain surgery at his old age and only weighing 2.5lbs. They also put his age in their system younger than he was and never corrected it when I told them it was wrong. His official age was actually an estimate as he was a rescue at least two times in his life with no known birthday and I think he was actually even older than what was on his paperwork. My 2 year old 4lb Yorkie vomited multiple times and was coughing. Labs were drawn which showed slightly elevated kidney levels from dehydration(creatinine 1.7 and normal is up to 1.6 with normal sdma). Instead of asking me to repeat the labs in a few weeks when he is well, the vet said he had renal disease and wanted an urinalysis, to put him on a special diet, and an expensive scan. I asked to repeat his labs when he is well but was not given that option and the vet wanted to assume he had renal disease and do all this other testing and not repeat labs for 4 months. I took him to another vet where they did an xray to rule out aspiration from the vomiting and repeated his labs which came back completely normal. I feel like I'm not given options at this vet.
